What is Fusion Ministries?

Fusion is the High School Ministry of Easthaven Baptist Church which includes students in grades 9-12.

Our purpose is to make young disciples here in the Flathead Valley. We do that by helping students GATHER to encounter Christ, GROW in love of God and one another, and GO to live and serve in the power of the Holy Spirit. There are eight (4:12) verses that we use to define our Gather, Growing and Going as a youth ministry. These scriptures give us guidelines for how we minister to students and what we need to pass on to them for their own life. They help us remember what is really important in working with teens.

Regular Activities

Wednesday Night
These weekly gatherings allow us to really focus on the Word of God. We spend time on topics that are important to teenagers and connect with God in Worship and Prayers. Fusion meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm to 8:00pm. We meet in the main auditorium.

Sunday Morning
Sunday Morning is another opportunity for us to continue growing together and in Christ. Bible Study for grades 9-12 is in room 405a.  This room is down the hallway at the north end of the gym. Sunday morning Bible study is from 9:30am—10:30am, between our two morning services.

Sunday Night
On Sunday nights high school girls meet for a Bible Study at 4:00 PM in room 405a.  The study finishes in time  to attend our e3 service together at 6:00 PM.

Special Events

Special Events are essential because they allow us to take what we are learning and put it into action. Whether it be through service, outreach or just a fun activity, special events put us in a place where we can be changed and used by God.

We get together for major special events at least 4 times a year.  Small groups also get together regularly to connect.

Missions

Mission trips are a great way to get students committed to a life of praying for, giving to and going on missions.  Fusion has a three tier strategy for mission trips that encourages high school students to develop hands on missions experience.

Tier 1
This is our introductory mission trip.  It’s 3-5 days, inexpensive, requires little training, and is within the student’s own culture.  For this tier we use our mission trip to Spokane.

Tier 2
This our mid-level mission trip.  It’s 1-2 weeks long, requires some training/experience and exposes students to a different culture.  For this tier we often offer a  trip to Mexico in the summer.  We work with YWAM as we serve a local church, do community evangelism and build a home for a needy family. 

Tier 3
This is our advanced mission trip.  It too is 1-2 weeks long, but requires more training and is more difficult in terms of cultural shift and work expectations.  It is designed for juniors and seniors in high school.
