DANIEL LAMBERT, Senior Pastor
Daniel is a native of Louisiana, but spent most of his formative years in Texas. He was raised in a Christian home and came to personal faith as a young boy. It was during his junior year in high school that he felt God's call to preach the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. After high school, he attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas for four years, spending his summers serving in ministry at his home church in Houston. After college, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas for four years. Halfway through seminary, Daniel met and married Vicki in 1989. Over their first two years of marriage, and through serving on a traveling ministry team on the west coast, God confirmed His call to serve in the northwest. Daniel came to Easthaven at the age of 26 and has been the pastor since 1991. Daniel and Vicki have two children: Daniel William (currently serving in the United States Marine Corps) and Adrianna (a freshmen at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ). Their family enjoys being outdoors and traveling. His greatest desire is to see others come to faith in Jesus Christ, plant new churches, and fulfill the great commission around the world. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications, a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctorate degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
VICKI LAMBERT, Worship Service Director
Vicki was born and raised just north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is blessed with wonderful Christian parents who gave her a heritage of faith and service to the Lord. Music was a significant part of Vicki's childhood. She developed a great love for singing very early in life and participated in church and school choirs for years. Vicki holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Louisiana State University and spent several years teaching children in both public and private schools in Louisiana, Texas, and Montana. She married Daniel in 1989 and after he finished seminary a couple years later, they relocated to Kalispell for Daniel to pastor Easthaven. Vicki has been serving the Lord through leading worship at Easthaven every Sunday morning since the early years. She loves being a mom and is very active in her children's lives. She accompanies the chorale program at Stillwater Christian School and teaches elementary Latin. Vicki loves traveling, spending time with family, music, camping, all kinds of sports, and entertaining people in their home.
JOEY GARDNER, Generations Pastor
Joey was born and raised in Kalispell. He grew up in a wonderful Christian family where the love and truth of God was shared openly. Joey’s family started attending Easthaven when he was in sixth grade and he loved his years as part of the youth ministry. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1983 and went to the University of Washington where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, he spent six years in the Navy where he served onboard a destroyer in the Gulf War. In 1993, Joey married Debby, and they headed to California for seminary. Joey served as youth and family minister at a church in Vallejo, California while receiving his Master of Divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Joey and Debby returned to Kalispell in 1998, and he has served as an associate pastor with us here at Easthaven since March of 1999. Joey and Debby have five amazing boys: Caleb, Josiah, Jonathan, David and Jeremiah. He is currently providing mentoring, leadership, and vision for our generations ministries.
MATTHEW FITZWATER, Teaching Pastor
Pastor Matthew was born in Pasadena, CA, but spent the majority of his childhood in Kalispell. He was blessed to have been raised in a strong Christian home and came to know Jesus as his personal Savior as a young child. Matthew grew up at Easthaven Baptist Church and has been a member since moving to Kalispell in 1978. After graduating from Flathead High School in 1988, he went to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Texas where he received his BA with a major in psychology and a minor in religion. He later returned to UMHB where he obtained a Masters of Arts in Psychology. It was also at UMHB that Matthew met his wife, Christy, and they were married in June of 1991. Matthew and Christy have two children, Jayme and Caleb. Matthew worked for nine years for Western Montana Mental Health Center as a case manager. He studied and obtained his Montana license to practice counseling and then started a private Christian counseling practice. Matthew has been on staff at Easthaven since September 2004. You will find him preaching on Saturday nights at our e3 service and teaching and counseling during the week.
ANDY MCPEAK, Worship Pastor
Andy was born in South Carolina, but spent the majority of his youth in Connecticut. He was led to the Lord by his mom on Christmas eve, 1990. He earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Messiah College in Grantham, PA. In the years following graduation he had experiences banking, working and ministering in Glacier National Park, directing a College Ministry program, and directing a Youth Missions Site on the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation in Lame Deer, MT. On staff since November 2006, his main responsibilities as the Worship Pastor include the direction and oversight of the worship ministry as well as worship leadership at two of our weekend services (e3 and 11am). He is presently pursuing a Master's of Christian Ministry degree at Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary in Cochrane, Alberta. When Andy and his wife, Bekah, are not serving in ministry, they are most likely out hiking and enjoying the beautiful Montana outdoors or spending time with their two daughters Madelyn (born July 2014) and Emma (born July 2016).
MIKE MARRS, Logos Christian Counselor
Mike was born in Utah, grew up in Texas, attended college and seminary in Kentucky, and God has now transplanted him and his wife, Anne, to Montana to serve in the pastoral counseling ministry at Easthaven. After graduating from high school in Austin, Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering. Mike accepted Christ and was baptized at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY to attend The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduating with his Master of Divinity degree in 2011, Mike and Anne moved back to the Flathead Valley and founded the LOGOS Christian Counseling Center at Easthaven, while also working on his Doctorate degree from Southern Seminary. Mike graduated with his Doctorate in Biblical Counseling in December of 2015. He has a passion for working with senior adults and helping them continue to experience the joy and peace that comes from serving the Kingdom in the later seasons of life.
FRANK SHELT, Associate Pastor
Frank Shelt was born and raised in Kellogg, Idaho. He married Karen after graduation from the University of Idaho with an undergraduate degree in Education. Frank was commissioned in the United States Air Force and spent nine years flying the F-4 Phantom aircraft. It was in the Air Force that Frank and Karen were introduced to Jesus Christ. Since then they have been serving in various churches as volunteer leaders, teachers, and interim pastors. Frank was called to Casas Adobes Baptist Church in Tucson, AZ as a full-time pastor in 1993 and served as a minister with the senior adults, single adults, men’s ministry, crown ministries and outreach service ministry. Frank and Karen have one child, Kristie, who is married and has one son and twin daughters. Both Frank and Karen are excited to be in the Flathead Valley serving the Lord at Easthaven.
DEAN LANDIS, Children's Pastor
Dean is a native of Quakertown, Pennsylvania and was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. He came to know Christ at the age of four at a Christian camp. Dean is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Education from Western Bible College. Dean married his wife, Lori, in 1992 and they are blessed with five children: Hannah, Joel, David, Jonathan, and Elizabeth. Dean and his family have been in the Flathead since 2005. Dean and Lori have been running a Bible camp for children on the Blackfeet Reservation since 2005. He has been involved with Christian camp work for 40+ years. Dean helped start Jackson Hole Bible College in Wyoming, where he worked as the Dean of students for three years. He is now involved in the process of starting Glacier Bible College in West Glacier. Dean loves spending his free time with his family.
DARREN BANEK, Director of Discipleship and Finance
Darren was born in Alaska to parents who were serving there with Arctic Missions, but spent most of his time growing up in Salem, OR. He accepted Christ at an early age and is grateful to be part of a family who is following God. He started married life with Carly the day after they both graduated from Corbin University in 2002. After earning a degree in Business Management, he had the opportunity to work in various business settings before joining the staff at Easthaven in 2014. He and Carly have attended and been involved at Easthaven since 2005. They have served on various boards and committees, Ignite Middle School Ministry, and more. Their down time these days is spent hanging out with their son, Owen, and new daughter, Olive.
PETER LINDSKOOG, College Ministry Associate
Peter grew up in a Christian home in central California. After high school, he attended Montana Wilderness School of the Bible (MWSB). It was there that his faith became alive and real. He surrendered his will to Jesus and began searching for what the Lord might want to do with his life. While at Bible school, he met Emily. They were married in September 2005 in Fort Benton, MT where they lived and ministered in their local church. Peter served on staff for nine years at Community Bible Church as a youth pastor to junior high and high school students, as well as leading in the music ministry. In June of 2013, the Lindskoogs moved to the Flathead Valley so Peter could answer the longing of his heart to pursue missions aviation. While training and praying towards that goal, they have started working with the College Life ministry at Easthaven and plan to continue in this role until a door opens up on the mission field. Peter and Emily have four children: Rhett, Brylee, Ella, and Maggie. They enjoy many activities both in and out of doors and are so thankful to be a part of this amazing church family.
MITCH BLOCK, High School Ministry Associate
Mitch was born in Kalispell into an amazing family that loves and serves the Lord. When he was eight years old, he asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior in AWANA. Soon after he was saved, one of his cousins told him that he would be a good missionary. After he heard that missionaries travel the world and tell people about Jesus, missions became his passion. Mitch has been attending Easthaven since 1999. The youth ministry had such a huge impact on his life that he decided he wanted to help lead as a volunteer in the program, as soon as he graduated from Flathead High School in 2001. He has been serving in the youth group since then, with a few breaks to go around the world and tell people about Jesus in Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, Taiwan, Honduras, and multiple YWAM training schools. After all these trips, Mitch has seen the value of traveling the world to show people the love of Christ, but he has also seen the need here in his hometown. Mitch met his wife, Elizabeth, at Easthaven, and they were married in 2017. They are enjoying serving the Lord together.
HOWARD MEE, Preaching Ministry Associate
Howard was born and raised in Northwest Montana. He was brought up in a Christian home and was called to a personal faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1999 and moved to Tulsa, OK in 2000 to attend Spartan College of Aeronautics. After graduating from Spartan in 2003, he went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. Howard and his beautiful wife, Anna, were married in 2001. Together they have served in a variety of church ministries since 2002. The have been members at Easthaven since 2015. They have four children: Gracie, Jordan, Caleb, and Ryan. As a family, they enjoy all the recreational activities the Flathead Valley has to offer.
KRISTI WILLITS, Facility & Office Manager
Kristi Willits was born in Casper, WY, and raised in Missouri and Montana. She was blessed to grow up with a Christian heritage, accepting Christ at a young age. Her grandfather started a church and pastored it for many years, passing on his passion for God’s Word to her father. Kristi was involved in various ministries as a teen. She graduated from Flathead in 2000 and attended the University of Montana. Kristi earned an AS in Business Administration and a BS in Photojournalism in 2005. Kristi first met her husband, AJ, at a college Bible study hosted by Easthaven. They married in July of 2007 and have been attending Easthaven since then. Kristi’s previous work experience was in Photography, Administration, Service and Management. She has been on staff at Easthaven since January 2010. As Easthaven’s Office Manager, she oversees operations of the office and the Administrative, Maintenance, and Janitorial staff. As the Facility Manager, Kristi’s main responsibility is care and maintenance of the building in partnership with the Maintenance and the Facilities committee. She has a passion for God, her family, making a difference, coffee, photography, technology, and organization. Kristi and AJ have three adorable children, Olivia, Brady, and Noah. They love Montana and they can often be found skiing, backpacking, hiking or camping.
KATHY VAN SOMEREN, Pastoral Administration Assistant
Kathy was born and raised in northwest Montana and continues to love all of the outdoor activities the Flathead Valley has to offer. She met her husband, Mike, after he moved here from Minnesota. Together, they enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and kayaking in the summer and snowshoeing, reading, and hiking in the winter. Their son, Matthew, is currently a college student in Oregon. As a part-time "empty-nester," Kathy enjoys the fellowship and support of Easthaven's Small Group Ministry. She enjoys combining ministry and administration in the church office. Her family began attending Easthaven in the fall of 2006.
LANA GARDNER, Events & Administration Assistant
Lana was born into a loving Christian family in Kalispell and moved with her parents to Thompson Falls at the age of five, just before starting the first grade. Thompson Falls remained her home until she graduated in 1979. Lana found Easthaven in 1983 and made it her church home. It was at Easthaven that Lana met and married the love of her life, Mike Gardner. They have three grown children: Brandi and husband Jeff, Jeremy and wife Lindsey, Nicholas and wife Alyssa, along with their newly adopted daughter, Jasmine, who attends Bigfork High School.
Lana has been on staff in the Easthaven office since January of 2012. She currently serves as an Events & Administrative assistant. When she is not in the office, she enjoys sewing, painting, and spending time with her family, which includes three grandsons, Tate, Liam, and Dallas, as well as her three granddaughters Isla, Rook, and Savannah.
ALICIA SCOFIELD, Children's Administration Assistant
Alicia was raised in Libby, Montana. She accepted Christ at a young age sitting at the kitchen table with her grandparents. Alicia’s first two years of college were at Union University in Jackson, TN. She transferred and graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. After college, she married her high school sweetheart, Aaron. Both Alicia and Aaron surrendered their lives to the Lord’s call into ministry and moved to Alberta where Aaron attended Seminary. While in Canada, they had their first son, Titus. In 2010, God called Aaron and Alicia to a church in Big Timber, MT. In 2013, they had their second son, Eli. On Thanksgiving day 2014, they moved to Kalispell and started attending Easthaven. Alicia has worked in children’s ministry in every church she has been a part of. She has a great passion for watching children grow in their faith and a love for Christ. Alicia’s husband Aaron works with Child Bridge, recruiting and supporting foster and adoptive families. With two growing boys and a dog named Buck, life is always exciting for the Scofield family. They love being outdoors whenever they get a chance.
LINNEA MORRIS, Communications & Administration Assistant
Linnea was born and raised in Montana. Attending Stillwater Christian School, she enjoyed staying busy in athletics, music, and Easthaven ministries. In 2012, she interned with our middle school ministry and found joy in the administration and creative side of ministry. She started college at MSU Bozeman where she met her husband, Jeph, and moved back home to the Flathead Valley. Linnea graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the college of MSU Billings in May of 2015. Her husband is an elementary music teacher at Cayuse Prairie. Jeph and Linnea had their first son, Teddy, in January 2017. They enjoy spending time with their family, hiking, and being outside in the sunshine.
REGINA SCHWARTZ, Bookkeeping Administration Assistant
Regina was born and raised in Pikeville, Kentucky. She accepted Christ when she was 16 years old and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1990, and then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. She and Darren married in 1993 while attending a Southern Baptist Church near the campus of Grand Canyon University. After starting a family and moving to Surprise, Arizona, Regina began doing the accounting for their church in 2002. Regina and Darren lived in Arizona for nearly 30 years, before following the Lord's call to move to Kalispell, Montana, in July 2014. The entire Schwartz family -- Regina, Darren, Haleigh, and Madi -- started attending Easthaven Baptist Church shortly after arriving in Kalispell and became members in 2015.
SETH EVANOFF, Media Production Assistant
Seth was born in Bend, Oregon and moved with his family to the Flathead Valley when he was three years old. Shortly after graduating high school, he met his wife, Jennifer, and started a family. Seth and Jennifer have two children, Morgan and Hudson. Seth grew up with a love of art and all things creative. In 2005, Seth and his brother submitted a film to the San Antonio independent Christian Film Festival and placed in the top ten. He continues his love for videography and video editing by helping people tell their stories as Easthaven’s Media Production assistant.
Our Deacons are available to make hospital visits, home visits and new member visits, as well as providing help to members and others in our community to further Easthaven's ministry in the Flathead Valley.
