We’re excited for the start of a new sermon series on Romans 8. Uncertainty is everywhere right now. We get weary of the ever-changing and increasingly insecure landscape around us. But for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is a sure and unchanging hope that stands in stark contrast to the world we live in. In Romans 8, we get a vivid description of the hope we have in Christ. We are reminded of who we are in Him, what He has done for us, and that we forever belong to Him. While things in this world are so broken, we don’t belong to this world. We already have victory through the sure and unchanging hope that is found in Jesus.
Each week, we plan to create and make available to you a Sermon Discussion Guide. You can find these posted on our website each week. For Week 1 questions, click below.
It is such a blessing to be a church family together, one that does more than just weekend ministry. We have hundreds of kids in AWANA, Ignite, and Fusion. We also have students in our young adult ministry and over 250 individuals in our Adult Bible Studies. Wednesday night supper begins again this week and we can celebrate the number of volunteers who have the heart to serve the church together. Thank you!
Join us for dinner (served 5-6PM) on Wednesdays this fall. This is a great opportunity to get to know other families and friends at church. Prices are the same as last year: free for kids 2 and younger, $2 for children aged 3-10, $3 for adults 11-up, $10 maximum payment from families. We will also have punch cards to prepay for meals. Dinner on October 5 will be burgers, french fries, salad, and desserts.
We are also looking for volunteers to help set up tables and chairs in the gym on Wednesdays. If you are available, please sign up below.
This year, we will again raise money for the Montana Missions Offering which goes to help strengthen Montana churches, reach the lost, meet human needs like hunger and literacy missions, and provide emergency financial assistance for our pastors. Every dollar given stays in Montana. Use the special giving envelopes in the chair backs or donate online.
Interested in having your child dedicated in a worship service on the weekend of October 8 or 9? Sign up below before Tuesday, October 4.
If you’re in middle school, come join us for a night of fun with your small group soon! More details are available online: easthaven.org/youth
Join us for a soup recipe exchange on Thursday, October 6, from 6-8PM. Healthy soup is comforting and inexpensive to make, so let's share! Bring a crockpot of your favorite healthy soup and a copy of your recipe. We'll provide sample cups and we'll gather together to encourage one another in the Lord. (Feel free to go in together with a friend and bring one pot of soup together.)
Join us for our next 50+ luncheon at noon on Friday, October 7 at the church. The lunch menu is bacon-wrapped stuffed chicken, green salad, bread, and dessert.
Worship is important to us! It is a big part of who we are and what we do at Easthaven. We are looking to add members to our growing Worship Ministry Teams (both Classic and Modern styles). If you are interested, find details in the EBC Weekly or sign up below.
A special thank you to the Men's Ministry for all the hard work at the church camp this past weekend. It was a big step towards knocking down our long list of projects! We are looking for volunteers to continue the work: installation of a new water fountain in the Lakeshore Lodge, plumbing the new outdoor kitchen sink, and an electrician to wire the new garage. For details or to volunteer:

Small Groups play a vital role in helping relationships flourish in the life of the church. In the context of small groups, we can be known, loved, cared for, encouraged, and challenged to be more like Christ. At Easthaven, we have small groups that meet on a regular basis to connect relationally, engage in God’s Word, and hold each other accountable. If you would like to join a small group, please sign up below.
We have partnered with Promise686 to help connect our church to the real-time needs of vulnerable children in our community. We send out requests to our CarePortal group, and in the last 12 months, Easthaven has served 54 children and has had an impact of more than $17,500. Right now, we are looking for an individual or two with a passion to champion the cause. Help promote awareness of the opportunities for us to respond to local needs! For more details:
