CHAZZ UPTON

Assistant Pastor: Middle School/Young Adults

Chazz was born and raised in Kalispell. He grew up in a Christian family with his parents, Art and Pam, and his older sister Justine. Though born into a family with God at the center of it, Chazz never owned or truly understood his faith until he was invited by his best friend, Nathan Fauth, to join Easthaven’s youth group on a trip to Creation Festival, where he recommitted his life to Christ as a 16-year-old. He then joined Easthaven officially, spent three years attending and working with the youth, and eventually went off to college at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas where he received a degree in Speech Communication and minors in Biblical Studies and Psychology. He returned to Montana in 2019 and worked for the middle school ministries as an assistant when he met his future wife, Anna, now a special education teacher at Muldown Elementary in Whitefish. Chazz then began his current graduate studies through Gateway Online Seminary. Chazz and Anna have now been married since June of 2021, and he is scheduled to finish his Master’s of Divinity in the Fall of 2024.
