March 16, 2025: church family meeting at 3pm
On March 16, we gathered as a Church Membership to vote on the list of names for our Lay Leadership. We also discussed ministry opportunities we are exploring right now. In case you weren’t able to make this meeting, or if you’d like to read a summary of the meeting, details are below.
FINANCIAL UPDATE
As church members walked into the meeting, they received a Financial Update from the 2024 Giving Year. You can view that document below.
LAY LEADERSHIP:
Per our current bylaws, votes must pass by a two-thirds majority. All names on the lay leadership list were approved, each 94% or above. View the lay leadership online: easthaven.org/leadership
HAPPENING THIS SUMMER: Camp Agape
We are excited to share that Camp Agape will be using our facility this summer! The agreement is finalized, and preparations are underway for an impactful summer of ministry. Eric Bratke, the Director of Camp Agape, shared the mission and vision of their ministry.
Eric also shared registration is open for children to sign up. They are also looking for people to work with the children this summer and basically get paid to share the gospel everyday! In the past, they have loved having high school and college aged students to work at this camp.

Potential Ministry Discussions:
Heritage & Montana Wilderness School of the Bible
We discussed two potential ministry opportunities. These are both still in the early stages, and no decisions have been made.
Heritage Academy – Pastor Chad interviewed Jane Turner, the Head of School at Heritage, and she shared their mission and vision of their organization. They are currently looking for somewhere to host classes this fall, and we are exploring what that partnership could look like if they rented our church building during the weekdays of the school year starting fall of 2025.

Montana Wilderness School of the Bible – Pastor Chad interviewed Paul Hill, the Executive Director at MWSB, as we are in the exploratory phase of discussing the potential for their organization to set up a second location at our camp facility (TLC Retreat). We are prayerfully evaluating how this could improve and impact our ministry at Easthaven. There were many questions that were asked during the meeting and even more questions that both organizations are asking before we get further in this process.

Again, to re-emphasize: these opportunities are both still in the early exploratory stages, and no decisions have been made by all those involved. We are simply inviting our Church Membership into the conversation and process.
