In case you weren’t able to make this meeting, or if you’d like to read a summary of the meeting, details are below. We have also included the results of the votes below.

LAY LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

After the vote, Rick Early, Chairman of the Committee for Committees spoke on the next Lay Leadership Vote and opportunities for 2026. If you are available to serve in Lay Leadership at Easthaven, this is for you! As a congregationally-led church, these committee and ministry leaders make decisions throughout the year that impact the church in big ways. Information is below.

  • Nominations open on September 12, 2025, and close on November 3, 2025.

  • Starting on September 12, you may nominate yourself online (link coming soon) or by speaking with a Committee for Committees member in the Hub after services.

  • If you know someone who would be a great fit, please encourage them to submit their own nomination, as we are only able to accept self-nominations.

  • Voting on new committee members will take place at the November 23 Church Family Meeting.

  • If you are currently serving on a committee, and if your term is up at the end of 2025, and if you are currently serving in your first term on a committee, and if you are willing to keep serving, please nominate yourself again. Each committee member is allowed to serve two consecutive terms.
